Position Overview
The Controller will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, and provide leadership on budgeting, cash flow management, and internal controls.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee general ledger, monthly close, and preparation of financial statements.
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
- Develop and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow.
- Provide financial analysis and recommendations to ownership/leadership.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP and relevant regulations.
- Work with other accountants to prepare tax returns
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred but not required.
- 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including prior Controller or senior accounting role.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
- Proficiency with Sage 100 or other accounting software and Excel
- High attention to detail, strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet deadlines.
