BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Computer Systems Engineering or related degree or HS Diploma and 7 years lab management or systems administration experience.
Desired Certifications:
ECP-1 position, requires on-site work 2-3 days per week, depending on weekly work requirements.

We are seeking a talented Technical Engagement Network (TEN) Lab Manager to join our team and make a significant impact in supporting U.S. Government agencies and critical asset owners facing cyber challenges. You will play a vital role in providing onsite incident response, ensuring immediate investigation and resolution of cyber-attacks, and contributing to the mission's continuity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead as a Linux Systems Administrator, managing Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) environments across development, lab, and production systems.
- Execute large-scale configuration management and deployment across various operating systems—including Windows, MacOS, Linux/Unix—and virtual environments to enhance the TEN infrastructure.
- Spearhead the implementation of new technologies and equipment within the lab environment, ensuring cutting-edge capabilities.
- Deliver ongoing systems administration, technical support, and troubleshooting services, alongside regular upgrades and patching.
- Develop and maintain Ansible playbooks, roles, and workflows for seamless application deployment and infrastructure provisioning.
- Configure, deploy, and oversee the Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform for extensive provisioning, configuration management, and compliance enforcement.
- Administer and maintain Splunk Enterprise/Splunk Cloud for enhanced system monitoring, security analytics, and operational intelligence.
- Implement and monitor security controls, ensuring STIG compliance, access management, and audit configurations for Linux and Splunk systems.
- Create dashboards and alerts in Splunk to proactively monitor system health, performance, and security events.
- Execute granular access control implementation and monitor systems for optimal performance and user accessibility, while establishing backups and security protocols.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex storage issues across the enterprise, focusing on effective storage and replication strategies.
- Identify and recommend efficiencies to existing procedures, ensuring customer approval for enhancements.
- Manage assigned project components, delivering services aligned with established objectives.
- Advise on the development of lab standard operating procedures (SOPs) and policies, ensuring best practices.
- Apply security concepts, theories, insights, tools, and methodologies to mitigate system weaknesses and vulnerabilities.

Requirements:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Must have an active DoD Secret clearance, TS/SCI clearance is preferred.
- Must be able to obtain DHS Suitability.
- 5 years of directly relevant experience as a Linux System Administrator.
- 3 years of experience with Splunk Enterprise administration and log ingestion
- 3 years of experience with Ansible automation (Ansible Core or Ansible Tower/AAP)
- Must be able to work collaboratively across physical locations.
- Experience with writing technical procedures and standard operating procedures.
- Virtualization automation and optimization.
- Experience with multiple operating systems to include Linux/Unix, Windows, MacOS.
