POSITION SUMMARY:
Provides administrative support for the Warehouse Department Managers and their staff. Assists with routine correspondence, various department reports, monitoring inventory levels and project assignments. Communicates with Exempt and Non-exempt Associates in a professional and confidential manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Handles clerical support for the Manager and other staff members as needed. Transcribes notes into correspondence, composes letters and memorandums for signature.

Notify shipping companies about delays in arrival time or other issues that may impact delivery times

Coordinating freight shipments using computer programs that keep track of details such as weight, volume, and destination location

Tracking inventory levels to ensure that there is enough stock for future sales or promotions

Coordinating the shipping of goods by truck, as well as arranging for customs clearance procedures when required

Coordinating with vendors to obtain new policies or make claims when appropriate

Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude

Using computer software to calculate rates based on distance, weight, and other factors for each shipment

Reviewing and updating product listings on websites or other promotional materials to ensure that they are accurate and up to date

Maintaining records of incoming and outgoing shipments including dates, contents, and destinations

Processing purchase orders for materials needed to manufacture products.

Tracks, traces, and updates the status of outgoing shipments.

Maintains an accurate log sheet of daily moves, scanning inventory, and counting accurately.

Responsible for checking in and out truck drivers and maintaining safety of the yard gate access.

Prepares and generates required shipping documents and/or pallet labels.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:Knowledge/Skills/Education/Experience:
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Two to three years administrative experience required
- Must be able to receive and comprehend large quantities of varied data, organize and present it when required.
- Typing speed of 45 words per minute.
- Must pass basic and intermediate level Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point with a minimum proficiency score of 80%.
- Must be able to operate all office machines.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to handle fast paced environment and demonstrate flexibility.
- Able to demonstrate good interpersonal skills and take initiative on specific issues.
- Ability to prioritize handling of situations.
Salary : $18 - $20
