Job Summary
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Import Export Operations Specialist to oversee and coordinate international shipping and logistics activities. This role involves managing supply chain processes, ensuring compliance with regulations, and optimizing transportation and warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in logistics, inventory management, and supply chain analytics to facilitate seamless import and export functions across various markets. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the efficiency of our global supply chain network while supporting continuous process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage end-to-end import and export operations, including freight forwarding, customs clearance, and documentation processing
• Oversee inventory control, warehouse distribution, and order fulfillment to ensure timely delivery of goods
• Utilize transportation management systems (TMS), warehouse management systems (WMS), and ERP platforms such as AS400 to track shipments, inventory levels, and procurement activities
• Develop and implement logistics strategies for transportation planning, freight management, and sourcing to optimize costs and service levels
• Collaborate with 3PL providers, freight forwarders (NVOCC), and carriers to coordinate transportation schedules and dispatching
• Monitor demand planning, pricing strategies, and category management to align supply chain activities with business goals
• Conduct data analysis using supply chain analytics tools to identify opportunities for process improvements in materials handling, packaging, and warehouse operations
• Ensure compliance with international trade regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards for shipping & receiving
• Manage procurement activities related to sourcing materials and negotiating freight rates or service contracts
• Support warehouse experience initiatives such as picking & packing, materials management, dispatching, and inventory audits

Requirements

• Proven experience in supply chain management, logistics, or operations management within a global or domestic context
• Strong knowledge of inventory management systems, warehouse management systems (WMS), transportation management systems (TMS), and ERP platforms like AS400 or CMMS
• Familiarity with freight forwarding processes including NVOCC operations and 3PL coordination
• Experience with demand planning, procurement, sourcing, pricing strategies, and category management
• Proficiency in data analysis skills for supply chain analytics to drive process improvements
• Ability to manage transportation planning, fleet management, materials handling, packaging, and materials management tasks effectively
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in shipping & receiving documentation and compliance standards
• Strong communication skills for coordinating across multiple departments including procurement, warehouse teams, carriers, and vendors
• Knowledge of e-commerce logistics workflows is a plus
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy in order fulfillment processes

This role is integral to maintaining the efficiency of our import-export operations by ensuring smooth coordination across all facets of the supply chain. The successful candidate will be instrumental in driving operational excellence through strategic planning and continuous process improvement.

Pay: $20.00 - $25.00 per hour
