Farbest Foods Vincennes processing plant is looking for Scale House Operators for dayshift. These are 12-hour shifts, full time positions. Farbest Foods is one of the largest turkey companies in the United States and a respected leader in the industry.

Summary Description: Primarily conducts work associated with scale house operations involving the weighing and processing of incoming and outgoing trucks. This position is also responsible for ensuring that security and access control procedures are implemented prior to allowing individuals entry into the facility.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
- Accurately weigh incoming and outgoing trucks while utilizing Scale House software programs. Effectively and professionally communicate with truck drivers during this process.
- Operate a computer and perform data entry of the scaling processes. Utilize various software programs to communicate to various company departments. (Amino, Outlook, Excel, Word)
- Monitor CCTV cameras and respond to any suspicious activities or incidents.
- Enforce access control procedures and verify identity of individuals prior to entry onto the premises.
- Respond promptly to alarms and emergencies, providing assistance as needed.
- Conduct investigations into security incidents, documenting findings and reporting to management.
- Provide professional level communication and assistance to visitors, truck drivers, and contractors.
- Implement loss prevention strategies to minimize theft or damage to property.
- Maintain accurate records of security-related activities.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Requirements:
Education/Experience/Qualification:
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer skills required
- Previous experience with security or scale house operations preferred
- Must be at least 18 years of age
