Ride Maintenance Technician- Entry Level

The Fantasy Island Amusement Park Mechanic is a critical role for the overall success of the amusement park as this person will ensure all rides are in proper operating order. This position must possess basic mechanical aptitude and skill. He/she must have the willingness and ability to use these skills to ensure the safe operation, maintenance, and inspections of the Fantasy Island Amusement Park rides and attractions. 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Inspect, maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and refurbish amusement rides and systems. 
• Ensure all rides and equipment comply with all Fantasy Island Amusement and equipment manufacturers’ operating standards and requirements.
• Perform visual and auditory inspections of rides and attractions.
• Maintain proper records for all inspections, maintenance, and repairs. 
• Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and overhauls of FIAP rides and attractions  
• Must be able to and willing to perform and/or assist in the other park repairs and maintenance that is deemed necessary by supervisors.
• Working with machinery, such as hydraulics, gearboxes, pneumatics, etc.
• Able to problem solve and troubleshoot, and/or perform general maintenance of mechanical devices and vehicles to assure proper function and safety.

KEY COMPETENCIES REQUIRED / COMPUTER SKILLS:   

Critical thinking and problem-solving skills

Valid driver’s license, ability to drive and have a clean driving record.

Solid customer service and communication skills necessary.

Working knowledge of network protocols.
