Qualifications
- Tier I Leadership certificate issued by the Georgia PSC
- Minimum of three years of successful teaching experience
- Ability to work with faculty/staff, students, parents/ guardians, and the community
- Alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find appropriate and acceptable
Performance Responsibilities
- Assist the principal in performing the duties and responsibilities described for the position of principal when delegated.
- Enforce policies regarding student behavior and document behavior referrals as well as consequences assigned.
- Assist the principal when there are allegations of inappropriate behavior by faculty or staff members.
- Assist principal with allegations of bullying.
- Supervise student activities, assemblies and extracurricular activities and help coordinate those events if needed.
- Give direction and assistance to employees as needed.
- Assist the principal with implementation of school programs (i.e.EIP, Title I, Remedial Education and ESOL).
- Serve as school test coordinator.
- Serve as a member of the school MTSS team and also the school improvement team.
- Supervise the maintenance and safety of the school facility.
- Plan and implement monthly fire, severe weather or safety drills and document as required.
- Perform other duties as needed and assigned by the principal or designee.
- Follows the Georgia Professional Standards for Educators
