Job Overview

Fancher Services Inc. is growing in the Electrical division. We specialize in residential standby generator installations and new construction and all types of electrical services, including small service calls to small commercial builds. We are looking for experienced Residential and Light Commercial Electricians to join our team.

This is a hands-on field position focused primarily on residential and light commercial electrical work and standby generator installations. The ideal candidate has residential/light commercial electrical experience, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working directly with customers.

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems across diverse environments, including residential and commercial settings. Your expertise will ensure electrical safety, compliance with local and national codes, and the seamless operation of electrical infrastructure. Duties

• Install, inspect, and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment in accordance with electrical blueprints and schematics.
• Troubleshoot electrical systems using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters, ohmmeters, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
• Conduct routine maintenance on industrial electrical systems to prevent failures and ensure optimal performance.
• Perform residential and light commercial electrical installations, repairs, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Install and service electrical components associated with residential standby generators.
• Perform generator electrical connections, including transfer switches, service connections, and associated wiring.
• Troubleshoot electrical issues and diagnose problems efficiently.
• Read and interpret electrical plans, wiring diagrams, and installation instructions.
• Install and work with electrical panels, breakers, disconnects, conduit, wiring, and other electrical components.
• Work alongside our generator and propane/natural gas technicians to complete installations.
• Communicate directly with customers regarding electrical issues, installation details, and recommended repairs or improvements.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment at customer homes and job sites.
• Complete basic service documentation and job notes.
• Follow applicable electrical codes, manufacturer requirements, and company safety procedures.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles.
• Participate in cross-training and assist in other departments when needed.
• Follow all electrical safety procedures to maintain a safe work environment during construction, renovation, or troubleshooting activities.
• Use hand tools and power tools effectively for wiring, conduit bending, and system installations on construction sites or renovation projects.Experience
• Proven experience as an electrician with a focus on industrial or commercial electrical systems.
• Strong knowledge of local electrical codes (such as NEC) and NFPA 70 compliance requirements.
• Hands-on experience reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to electrical wiring and systems.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues efficiently using diagnostic tools like voltmeters, ohmmeters, and PLC programming devices.
• Experience working on construction sites or renovation projects involving high-voltage electrical wiring.
• Familiarity with high-voltage electrical wiring procedures and safety protocols in industrial environments.
• Prior handyman experience or general construction background is a plus for versatile problem-solving skills.

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour
