JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Senior Director of Tactical Opportunities at Fanatics Betting & Gaming (FBG), you will be a key leader within the Operations team, focused on opportunistic and targeted margin expansion initiatives agnostic to function or domain. The core objective of Tac Ops is to grow the profitability profile of FBG while simultaneously not slowing revenue growth. Reporting directly to the COO, the Senior Director will act either as an individual contributor or lead a small team responsible for managing a small targeted list of margin improvement projects across the company.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of Margin Expansion Project List: Identify, manage, and execute a list of margin expansion projects that range from short-term operational improvements to long-term strategic opportunities.
• KPI Development and Management: Define and manage key operational KPIs, ensuring they align with financial objectives and company strategy. Build cross-functional alignment to track performance and support decision-making.
• Company-wide Metrics and Reporting: Lead total company consolidated sales and metrics reporting, collaborating with teams to develop standardized definitions and build executive dashboards for real-time insights.
• Strategic Financial Analysis: Provide strategic direction on financial business analytics, including product profitability, LTV/CAC, growth investments, pricing, and customer cohort analysis, among others.
• Business Strategy Partnership: Proactively assess areas of financial risk and opportunity, delivering insights and recommendations to influence business strategy.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with senior executives and cross-functional teams to implement financial strategies and initiatives that drive company performance and alignment.
• Ad hoc Financial Support: Manage ad hoc financial analyses related to key commercial projects, ensuring timely and accurate support for executive decision-making.
• Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow a high-performing finance team, fostering a collaborative and forward-thinking environment. Set the vision for financial performance management and analytics within the team.
• Executive Stakeholder Management: Present financial insights and performance metrics to senior leadership, ensuring alignment with company-wide goals and initiatives.
• Corporate Performance Management: Drive executive alignment through corporate performance management initiatives, ensuring consistent financial governance across the organization.
• Travel: Open to regular travel for events, meetings, and collaboration with Fanatics offices and offsite teams.
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 10 years of finance experience with progressively increasing responsibility; experience in investment banking, private equity, or public multinational companies preferred.
• Expertise in financial modeling, analytics, and KPI management, with a deep understanding of three-statement models.
• Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills and a strong command of financial data analysis.
• Proven track record in presenting to senior leadership with strong data visualization and storytelling abilities.
• Strong leadership and team management experience, with the ability to influence and drive alignment across multiple departments and stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset to drive process improvement and financial discipline.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment, with a proactive approach to identifying growth opportunities and mitigating risks.
  
  

Salary range is listed in USD; ranges will change based on country and state of residence, which are reflected in Geographical Zones defined by Fanatics Betting and Gaming. *Salary Range: $230,000 to $260,000 (Salary range incorporates all of our Geographical Compensation Zones and is subject to change as the Zone associated with the actual Offer is confirmed).
