Fanatics Collectibles is a new company operating at the intersection of collectibles, culture, and technology. Role Summary
We’re looking for a strategic, hands-on Director of Strategic and Commercial Procurement to build and lead a new function at the center of Fanatics Collectibles’ operations. This is not a traditional sourcing or supply chain role — it’s a strategic position focused on non-product-related spend, designed to enable smarter decision-making, stronger vendor relationships, and better commercial outcomes across the business.
You’ll take ownership of our indirect spend management across a diverse set of high-impact categories — including capital investments, technology and data services and professional services. You’ll create structure around the indirect procurement process, lead sourcing initiatives, and manage complex negotiations with confidence. This role is ideal for a strategic thinker who thrives in ambiguity and seeks out opportunities to improve how the business operates.

This salary range is specific to New York City and may not be applicable to other locations. Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the single, accountable owner end-to-end strategic and commercial sourcing activity across indirect spend, including:
- Capital expenditures and large-scale investments
- Technology and Data services
- rofessional services
- Lead sourcing initiatives, including spend analysis, vendor evaluation, negotiation strategy, and contract optimization
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, governance, and analytics across vendor sourcing and management
- Own and operate a centralized, standardized intake and approval process for new indirect vendor requests and contracts
- Consolidate and maintain a centralized view of contracts across the organization to proactively develop renewal negotiation strategies well in advance of expiration
- Build financial models and business cases to evaluate supplier trade-offs, pricing structures, and key commercial terms
- Drive negotiations across pricing, SLAs, contractual terms, and risk mitigation, ensuring commercial outcomes and partnership alignment
- Partner across Finance, Operations, Legal, IT, and other functions to align vendor strategy with evolving business needs
- Work closely with FP&A and Accounting to ensure contracts align with budgets, forecasts, accruals, and CapEx / OpEx treatment
- Act as a strategic thought partner to business leaders, bringing structure, clarity, and commercial insight to decisions involving third-party partnerships
- 5-7 years of experience in Strategy, Finance or Procurement roles, with exposure to complex vendor or commercial decisions
- Experience creating structure in ambiguous environments
- Have built or meaningfully improved processes or operating models without precedent
- Highly organized and process-driven, with strong analytical and operational instincts
- Demonstrated strong work ethic and comfort owning workstreams from start to finish
- Excellent communicator with a proven ability to influence and align cross-functional stakeholders
- Advanced Excel and financial analysis skills; strong PowerPoint storytelling capability
- Intellectual curiosity and willingness to learn the operational details behind the numbers
- Experience partnering with Legal and reviewing contracts is a strong plus
