Role Overview

This is a highly visible clerical role that communicates frequently with our management, internal and external partners. The clerk collects data and information which they add to various reports. The clerk will need good verbal and written skills to communicate with customer service and customers’ traffic departments on a daily basis.

• Preparing shipping documents
• Running excel reports
• Analyzing spreadsheets
• Minimal computer skills to access logistics websites of customers to schedule routing for shipments to these customers
• Communicates verbally to explain quality rules or guidelines, especially if nonconforming product
• Works effectively in a structured setting as a member of a team

• FMS/WMS and DMS experience preferred
• Must possess math and analytical skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Must be flexible with working long hours and weekends
• Must be able to speak and write in English / Spanish bilingual preferred
• Experience with Microsoft Office (Word and Excel is a must)

Work Environment

This position works in an environment in which safety, environmental and health concerns may demand constant attention.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to a warehouse setting. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment can vary, but below the required limits for hearing protection.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms

The employee is occasionally required to sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and move objects up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

Full-time. Monday – Friday: 6:30AM – 3:30PM. OT required during peak season with occasional Saturday’s.
