Position Summary:
The Material Handler will assist with the sheetfed press to facilitate non-stop operation.
Schedule: 6pm-6am on a rotating schedule.
Essential Functions:
- Organize production and supporting materials such as paper, ink and plates.
- Assist with daily, weekly and monthly press maintenance.
- Lifting and stacking pallets, cardboard and printed materials.
- Operate hand-jacks, forklifts or other similar equipment to move materials from shipping, receiving and staging areas to and from the press
- Assist in plate/blanket replacement
- Maintains a safe and clean work environment by following all procedures, rules, and regulations Other assigned duties as required by management
Qualifications:
- Ability to operate hand jacks and forklifts.
- Ability to follow and carry out instruction with excellent attention to detail
- Positive and professional interpersonal skills required
- Effective oral and written communication
Education
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous experience in shipping/and or supply chain systems within a warehouse environment preferred
Other Requirements:
- Must have the ability to read, write and effectively communicate with crew members and other employees in the manufacturing/warehouse areas.
