Position Summary
We're seeking a highly skilled senior cloud solutions architect to support Commercial and Diversified Commercial business operations. This role is pivotal in connecting business needs with technical execution, especially within a complex landscape of legacy systems and modern cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will engage closely with business stakeholders to clarify and refine requirements, translate high-level concepts into actionable roadmaps and user stories, and ensure alignment across cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities include developing high-level and detailed solution designs, documenting current-state architectures, and proposing scalable, secure improvements for future-state systems. The architect will primarily work within Google Cloud Platform (GCP), with exposure to Azure and AWS, supporting the integration and modernization of internal applications. Additionally, they will create and maintain architecture roadmaps, estimate development efforts, and ensure solutions are strategically aligned with business goals.
Required Qualifications
The Typical Pay Range For This Role Is
$130,295.00 - $260,590.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.

- They'll provide guidance during critical incidents, help teams troubleshoot and recover systems quickly, and proactively identify technical gaps, risks, and pain points, implementing solutions with appropriate urgency.
- Collaboration is a key aspect of this role, working with product managers, designers, and other stakeholders, and providing mentorship to architects at all levels to foster growth and skill development.
- The architect should be adept at harmonizing differing opinions, guiding teams toward effective compromises, and resolving technical conflicts, while championing technical decisions by clearly framing rationale, benefits, and risks in business terms.
- Must-haves for this position include: proven experience designing and implementing scalable cloud solutions, primarily on GCP, with working knowledge of Azure and AWS; the ability to translate business requirements into technical roadmaps and user stories; excellent communication skills and a track record of producing clear architectural documentation; and experience conducting market research, including familiarity with AI agents and market tools.
- Demonstrated success modernizing legacy systems and integrating internal applications in complex enterprise environments; healthcare experience; strong knowledge of Spring Boot, Kubernetes, Google Pub/Sub or Kafka, and Splunk, with proficiency in Node.js, Python, SQL, and JavaScript; and experience using Lucid to provide architectural diagrams and documenting Architecture Decision Records.
