Are you someone who loves making a great first and last impression? Do you enjoy creating memorable experiences for guests? If so, Famous Toastery is looking for you! As a host, you’ll roll out the red carpet and make all of our guests feel Famous.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Open doors for arriving and departing guests.
- Greet, engage, and seat all guests in a warm and friendly manner, making a Famous first impression.
- Accommodate any special needs (i.e., boosters, highchairs, disabilities, large parties, etc.).
- Assist in maintaining the overall guest flow of the restaurant.
- Inquire about guests’ experiences as they depart, thank them for dining with us, and invite them back.
- Perform side duties including, but not limited to, answering the phone, taking “To Go” orders, bussing tables, general cleaning, expediting orders, and checking out guests.
- Manage the waitlist as needed, quoting accurate wait times.
- Provide assistance to servers.
- Maintain clean and organized work and entry areas (including windows, ledges, door handles, and floors).
- Check the overall cleanliness of the restrooms every 30 minutes.
- Understand and accurately use the P.O.S. (point of sale) system for clocking in/out, processing “To Go” orders and guest checks, and completing end-of-shift duties.
Qualifications:
- Reliable
- Good organizational skills
- Previous experience as a host preferred
