Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist with their checkout needs using POS (Point of Sale) systems.
- Handle cash, credit/debit card transactions, and process returns accurately and efficiently.
- Provide product demos and suggest additional items through upselling techniques to enhance sales.
- Maintain a clean and organized checkout area, restocking supplies as needed.
- Support merchandising efforts by stocking shelves and ensuring products are well-presented.
- Answer customer questions politely via phone etiquette or in person, offering helpful solutions.
- Assist with inventory management by participating in stocking and merchandising activities to keep the store inviting.
- TIPS are associated with this position.
- Ability to serve patrons when they decide to dine-in.
Requirements
- Prior experience with POS systems, cashiering, or retail sales is preferred.
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills are a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs effectively.
- Strong communication skills combined with excellent phone etiquette are essential.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations accurately for cash handling and retail math tasks.
- Experience in grocery stores or retail environments is advantageous.
- A positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting are key to success in this role.
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
