Custodian

Jimmy Swaggart Ministries is looking for Full-Time Custodians.

Available Shifts: Monday-Friday from 7am-4pm or 8am-5pm.

Summary:
Custodians are responsible for maintaining the overall appearance of the facility by performing general & detailed cleaning tasks within your assigned area(s)/ building(s) and displaying a customer service oriented, positive attitude. Physical setting of work may include office buildings, school, pre-school, multi-family apartment buildings, etc.

Job Duties:
Employee is expected to perform assigned tasks on a timely and consistent basis following the buildings task and frequency schedule for that day. Tasks will include a mix of the following:

• Empty and clean all garbage receptacles. Manually move debris to the outdoor container.
• Vacuum all rugs and carpeted areas in classrooms, offices, lobbies, hallways and corridors.
• Sweep and mop all non-carpeted areas with a broom or dust mop and wet mop, as appropriate.
• Clean all stairwells and spot check for necessary extra cleaning. This may include sweeping, dust mopping, mopping and/or using a backpack vacuum.
• Dust, damp wipe and clean all office furniture, file cabinets, fixtures, telephones, paneling, window sills, glass surfaces, doors, door frames, switches, partitions, work surfaces, furniture, and other horizontal and vertical surfaces, as directed or by building schedule.
• Clean and disinfect restrooms daily. Replenish restroom dispensers.
• Clean entrance glass and other interior glass. Occasionally clean exterior glass when appropriate.
• Respond positively and promptly to supervisor.
• Work effectively with other team members.
• Conduct all work in accordance with company procedures, including safety, door lock, time & attendance, and uniform policies.
• Properly operate and maintain equipment such as vacuum cleaners, auto scrubbers, extractors, etc.
• Report building and equipment maintenance issues to supervisor.
• Other duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Must be physically able to be on your feet during an entire shift; walking, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, kneeling, and crouching. No Exceptions.
