Direct Support Professional (DSP) Bilingual

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma, or equivalent, and 6 months experience working with persons with developmental and/or intellectual disabilities; or experience in the human services field
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in Spanish preferred

MUST HAVES:

• 21 years or older.
• Time management and scheduling.
• Valid driver's license with reliable personal vehicle to transport clients; must be able to pass a DMV background check.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds to assist clients with transfers to and from mobility equipment and vehicles.
• Clear criminal record; a background check will be conducted upon hire.

RESPONSIBILITIES (including, but not limited to:)

• Create and assist clients in Individual Service Plans (ISP).
• Manage activities to achieve the short and long-term goals of clients and their dependents.
• Maintain accurate client records, including progress reports.
• Collaborate with the Regional Center on client matters.
• Transport clients to and from their appointments, errands, community activities, etc.; This involves the use of your personal vehicle, we provide mileage reimbursement.
• Comfortable working in consumers’ homes.
• You will report directly with the Regional Support Specialist as well as admin.

Pay: $19.36 - $25.00 per hour
