Job Overview
The Program Director is responsible for the overall operation, growth, compliance, staffing, participant satisfaction, and financial success of the Adult Day Center. This position serves as the on-site leader responsible for ensuring excellent participant care, maintaining regulatory compliance, supervising staff, supporting families, and actively growing center census through community outreach, marketing, referral development, and relationship building.The Program Director is expected to maintain a visible presence both inside the center and throughout the community to increase awareness of services and support enrollment growth.
- Conduct regular community outreach to physician offices, hospitals, rehabilitation facilities, skilled nursing facilities, senior housing communities, senior centers, churches, social service agencies, and community organizations.
- Schedule and conduct tours for prospective participants and families.
- Follow up on all inquiries, referrals, tours, and leads within established timeframes.
- Build and maintain referral relationships throughout the community.
- Represent Family United at health fairs, networking events, community meetings, vendor fairs, and outreach events.
- Coordinate and participate in presentations, educational workshops, bingo sponsorships, and community engagement activities.
- Track all outreach efforts, contacts, referrals, tours, and enrollment outcomes.
- Maintain an outreach log and provide weekly census and marketing reports.
- Collaborate with leadership regarding marketing initiatives and growth opportunities.
- Meet established census growth goals and enrollment objectives.
- FACILITY OPERATIONS Oversee daily operations of the Adult Day Center.
- Ensure participants receive quality services in a safe and welcoming environment.
- Conduct daily facility inspections.
- Ensure building cleanliness and organization.
- Identify maintenance concerns and coordinate repairs.
- Monitor facility safety and security.
- Ensure all equipment remains functional and operational.PARTICIPANT SERVICES Oversee participant enrollment, admissions, and orientation.
- Maintain participant records and files.
- Ensure service plans are implemented appropriately.
- Address participant and family concerns promptly and professionally.
- Manage participant grievances and resolutions.
- Maintain ongoing communication with families and caregivers.
- Monitor participant satisfaction and quality of care.
- STAFF SUPERVISION- Supervise center staff, volunteers, contractors, and program personnel.
- Conduct employee coaching, mentoring, and performance management.
- Monitor attendance and staffing schedules.
- Ensure adequate staffing ratios are maintained.
- Facilitate staff meetings and trainings.
- Conduct employee education and competency reviews.COMPLIANCE & QUALITY ASSURANCE Ensure compliance with all local, state, federal, Medicaid, and licensing requirements.
- Maintain participant, employee, volunteer, and vendor files.
- Prepare for inspections, audits, and surveys.
- Complete monthly compliance reviews and quality assurance checks.
- Monitor incident reporting and corrective actions.
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed.
- FOOD PROGRAM MANAGEMENT-Coordinate with food program vendors and suppliers.
- Ensure meals and snacks are ordered and delivered appropriately.
- Review menus for compliance and participant needs.
- Maintain food inventory and ordering processes.
- Ensure meal documentation requirements are met.TRANSPORTATION & ACTIVITIES Oversee field trips, outings, and community activities.
- Ensure transportation schedules are coordinated effectively.
- Verify activities are implemented safely and appropriately.
- Monitor participant engagement and program quality.
- ADMINISTRATIVE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete billing and payroll documentation accurately and timely.
- Verify participant attendance and transportation records.
- Submit required reports to leadership.
- Maintain vendor relationships and service agreements.
- Monitor center supplies and operational needs.PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONSThe Program Director is expected to: Maintain a clean, safe, compliant facility.
- Ensure participant and family satisfaction.

Pay: From $48,000.00 per year
