We’re looking for an upbeat, reliable, and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to become part of our team! The ideal candidate will have at least one year of recent experience (within the past two years) in a small animal veterinary practice, demonstrating growth and increasing responsibility. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys connecting with clients and their pets while contributing to a positive, team-oriented environment.
At Family Tree Animal Clinic (FTAC), we’re a modern, paperless practice focused exclusively on dogs and cats. We provide high-quality care through in-house laboratory testing, surgery, digital whole-body and dental radiography, ultrasound, and comprehensive dental services. Our mission is to strengthen the human–animal bond through exceptional veterinary medicine, client education, and team empowerment.

- Monday, Wednesday, and Friday: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
- Tuesday and Thursday: 8:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
- Every other Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
We’re closed on Sundays, have no after-hours emergencies or holiday boarding, and no overnight duties—because we believe your time outside of work matters, too.
- Key Responsibilities:*
- Review patient records to determine visit purpose and recommend services
- Prepare forms and educate clients about medications, vaccines, and care instructions
- Accurately fill prescriptions per veterinarian’s orders
- Electronically document medical history and exam findings
- Communicate clearly about pet medical/surgical care and at-home instructions
- Process payments and manage appointment scheduling
- Collaborate with team members for efficient hospital operations
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in all clinic areas
- Required Qualifications:*
- Minimum of 1 years’ recent experience in a small animal veterinary receptionist role
- Knowledge of veterinary terminology, medications, and vaccines
- Ability to interpret medical records and vaccine history accurately
- Strong computer and data entry skills
- Able to lift 50 lbs and handle dogs up to 150 lbs
- Enjoys working with animals and people
- Preferred Qualifications:*
- Experience using Cornerstone practice management software
- Worked in a paperless medical records environment
- Able to safely restrain cats and dogs
- Comfortable assisting with basic procedures (e.g., nail trims, anal gland expression, vaccine administration)
- Some college education
