Role Description
Family Services of Westchester is seeking a Full-Time Bilingual Mental Health Clinician for Sleepy Hollow School-Based Clinic located in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
Responsibilities
- Provide individual, family, and group counseling based on clinical diagnosis and assessment of the clients presenting problems within an outpatient mental health setting.
- Accurately document all clinical interventions, diagnoses, symptoms, and presenting problems in the Electronic Medical Record.
- Provide high-quality evidence-based treatment using a variety of modalities including trauma systems therapy and substance use disorder interventions.
- Participate in weekly supervision, multi-disciplinary team meetings, service training programs.
- Provide crisis counseling, linkages to concrete and wraparound service, and coordinate with other providers to better serve the needs of students and families.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy (LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC)
- LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred with current New York State registration and license as a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or corresponding degree. Permits (LMSW-P, LMHC-P, or LMFT-P) accepted.
- CASAC a plus
Experience/Skills
- Outstanding clinical, assessment, and diagnostic skills
- Bilingual
- Proficient in the use of computers, and specifically with electronic medical records
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a culturally diverse population
- Team-focused collaborator
- Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, underserved residents in a mental health setting
- Excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing
- Excellent clinical experience with mentally ill, substance abuse afflicted population
- Desire to work in underserved communities
- Highly organized, self–directed
- Engaged in learning and continuous quality improvement
- Resilient
Salary is based on licensure and experience.
