What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Mental Health Clinician position at Family Services of Westchester?
RESPONSIBILITES
Provide individual, family, and group counseling based on clinical diagnosis and assessment of the clients presenting problems within an outpatient mental health setting.
Accurately document all clinical interventions, diagnoses, symptoms, and presenting problems in the Electronic Medical Record.
Provide high-quality evidence-based treatment using a variety of modalities including trauma systems therapy and substance use disorder interventions.
Participate in weekly supervision, multi-disciplinary team meetings, service training programs.
Provide crisis counseling, linkages to concrete and wraparound service, and coordinate with other providers to better serve the needs of students and families.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Masters Degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or Marriage and Family Therapy (MSW, MHC, or MFT)
LMSW, LMHC, or LMFT preferred with current New York State registration and license as a Licensed Master of Social Work (LMSW) or corresponding degree
CASAC a plus
Experince/Skills
Excellent clinical experience with mentally ill, substance abuse afflicted population
Desire to work in underserved communities
Outstanding clinical, assessment, and diagnostic skills
Proficient in the use of computers, and specifically with electronic medical records
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a culturally diverse population
Team-focused collaborator
Passionate about providing high-quality care to low-income, underserved residents in a mental health setting
Excellent interpersonal skills both verbally and in writing
Highly organized, selfdirected
Engaged in learning and continuous quality improvement
