POSITION SUMMARY:
The Behavior Health Technician (BHT) for Project SOAR/ROAR works with students in Maplewood Elementary School and Cambridge Springs Elementary School. Worker provides direct services to assigned caseload and must be able to follow a prescribed treatment plan. This is a 10-month position, working during the school year.
JOB DUTIES:
- Implements behavioral health treatment plans to students in the school setting.
- Tracks measurable objectives, documents treatment activities and responses, and communicates overall progress through written and oral reports.
- Attends clinical team meetings, Family Nights, and annual SBBH trainings.
- Maintains case records and reports in a timely manner as required in agency policy.
- Participates in staff development activities, including individual and peer supervision.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- High school diploma, GED, associate's degree or bachelor's degree in an unrelated field.
- Experience working in a child-serving system and mental health services agency preferred. Knowledge of child development and the application of Behavioral Modification that follows a plan developed from a Functional Behavioral Assessment and used by a Positive Education Program.
- Knowledge of child development encouraged.

Project SOAR/ROAR helps children in the Penncrest School District who are experiencing emotional and/ or behavioral difficulties in the school setting. The Project ROAR/SOAR team works closely with school personnel and includes master-level mental health professionals, bachelor-level mental health workers, family school coordinators, and parent liaisons.
