Job Description: The individual hired for this position manages a range of clinical and administrative responsibilities that include providing direct clinical supervision to mental health therapists as well as maintaining their own reduced caseload. As a member of the Mental Health Management Team, this individual works collaboratively with the other coordinators, clinical supervisors, and directors to support program operations, development, evaluation, and quality management.
The individual will provide in-person and/or telehealth outpatient mental health and rehabilitative services to adults and their families at a site that specializes in anger management, sexual abuse, women’s empowerment and individuals with a history of sexual misconduct or sexual offending behaviors. Adult Clinic operates on a 4-day work week with every Friday off, working 35-40 hours per week.
Responsibilities:
- Manages clinical and administrative supervision to the team of mental health therapists, clinical and peer support staff, graduate student interns, and other support staff providing outpatient mental health treatment and rehabilitative services, ensuring coverage and oversight for all hours of mental health services operation.
- As a member of the Mental Health Management Team, it may also be required to support other clinical management needs.
- Provides outpatient clinical services to a reduced case load including assessment, screening, diagnosis, treatment planning, case management, crisis intervention, safety planning, and ongoing treatment to adults and/or families.
- Responds to a range of clients’ needs using differential diagnoses, appropriate treatment modalities, and a variety of intervention methods conforming with evidence-based best practices.
- Responds to emergent client needs, including risk and other safety assessments and referral for further evaluation.
- Engages clients from a person-centered, strength-based, trauma-focused, recovery-oriented holistic perspective, addressing social determinants of health.
- Prioritize development of plan of care with individuals in association with all community providers, family, and collateral supports identified by and for the individuals.
- Maintains clinical records and effectively uses the established electronic health record in accordance with established clinic policies and procedures and applicable regulatory requirements.
Requirements: Applicants are expected to possess a current NYS licensure as an LMSW, LMHC, LCSW, or LMFT with at least 5 years of experience in a behavioral health care setting. A licensed master’s degree in social work, Mental Health Counseling, and Marriage and Family Therapy is preferred.
