What are the responsibilities and job description for the Program Specialist position at Family Services Incorporated?
Family Services has an immediate opening for a full-time Program Specialist in the Intellectual Disabilities (ID) Program. The ID Program Specialist assists in developing, implementing and evaluating services for people with an intellectual disability or autism by coordinating services for assigned Individuals; providing on site supervision to assigned Individuals, direct service staff and family living providers; possessing a working knowledge of the Pennsylvania Public Welfare Codes under Chapters 6400, 6500 and 2380.; being certified as a Medication Administration Practicum Observer and being both a point person and a Certified Investigator for ODP’s Incident Management Protocols. On-call responsibility once every five weeks.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: An Associate’s Degree or 60 credit hours from an accredited college or university and 4 (four) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism OR Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 2 (two) years of work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism OR Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university and 1 (one) year work experience working directly with individuals with an intellectual disability or autism
Special training in Person Centered Thinking, knowledge of current Behavior Support practices and Program Specialist experience is preferred.
This position is exempt, full-time, Monday-Friday 8:00 AM-4:00 PM. Starting wage is $25.00 per hour or dependent upon experience.
