JOB TITLE: Administrative Assistant
REPORTS TO: Benefits Specialist
Family Service Society of Yonkers (FSSY) is a community-based nonprofit organization that has served residents of Westchester and surrounding areas for over 140 years. We provide comprehensive services and programs for individuals and families of diverse backgrounds and ages.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general administrative tasks such as filing, typing, copying and scanning
- Enter sensitive data in electronic systems
- Maintain accurate and well-organized filing system
- Prepare and organize documentation for Medicaid applications and recertification
- Assist with applications for SNAP (Food Stamps) and Social Security Disability
- Provide reception coverage, when needed
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma Required; College Degree preferred
- 2 Years of Administrative Assistant experience
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Organized with strong attention to detail
- Ability to navigate complex systems
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Experience working with sensitive or confidential information
