SCHEDULE
10 Hours per week
SUMMARY
Family Service League is seeking a part-time Teacher’s Aide for the Riverhead Summer Program at the Riverhead Family Center. The Teacher’s Aide will serve children grades K-4 and assist the supervisor with educational programming.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Set up and clean up classroom.
- Distribute snacks and materials to students.
- Escort children throughout the building.
- Supervise students on field trips.
- Assist students individually and in small groups with academic assignments.
- All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma required; some college preferred.
Minimum of 2 years of experience working with elementary school age children required.
Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office; especially Word and Excel, required.
Excellent organizational, time management and verbal and written communication skills required.
Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires sitting and standing for long periods of time.
Salary : $17 - $18
