Position Summary:
Family Promise of Gwinnett County is seeking a motivated and compassionate Success Coach to empower families experiencing homelessness as they work toward achieving long-term stability. The Success Coach will play a vital role in guiding families to overcome barriers by offering personalized support, setting attainable goals, and connecting them with essential resources and services. Key Responsibilities:
Empowering Families:
- Develop tailored housing plans focusing on housing stability, economic self-sufficiency, and overall family well-being.
- Conduct regular meetings with families to assess needs, track progress, and provide referrals for necessary resources such as mental health support, employment assistance, and education.
- Maintain thorough and up-to-date case files with documentation of client interactions, progress, and services rendered.
- Serve as a compassionate advocate, helping families understand and navigate available community resources.
Achieving Stabilization:
- Collaborate with landlords, service providers, and other community agencies to establish and maintain positive relationships, supporting clients’ housing and service needs.
- Work with families to develop budgeting and saving skills, promoting economic independence.
- Participate in the design and implementation of programming to enhance existing case management services.
Community Connections:
- Foster strong partnerships with external agencies and internal departments to create a comprehensive support network for each family.
- Attend inter-agency meetings, staff collaborations, and professional development opportunities to stay updated on best practices and emerging needs within the community.
- Participate in community activities to achieve increased public understanding and support of the organization and its mission.
Additional Duties:
- Perform other related tasks as required, supporting organizational goals and ensuring service quality as directed by the Executive Director and Assistant Director.

- Uphold the mission, vision, and values of Family Promise of Gwinnett in all interactions with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
- Ensure customer satisfaction through the delivery of quality services.
- Engage in organizational initiatives, special events, and volunteer training sessions, contributing to the growth and outreach of Family Promise of Gwinnett.
Desired Experience, Skills and Competencies:
Experience:
- A background in social work, case management, counseling, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience working with individuals or families facing homelessness, poverty, or other barriers to stability.
- Strong knowledge and understanding of the issues related to homelessness, poverty, and family services.
- Familiarity with trauma-informed care practices and housing resources is a plus.

Work Environment:
This is an in-person position located in Lawrenceville, GA. Flexibility to commute to various locations within the community may be required. This position requires the ability to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds. This role may also require bending, stooping, reaching, and standing for extended periods.
