Duties
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and dignity
- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Administer medication reminders and support medication management as directed by healthcare providers
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance mental well-being
- Support clients with light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and transportation to appointments or errands
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all safety protocols are adhered to during visits
- Document care activities accurately and maintain detailed records of each visit for accountability and continuity of care
Requirements
- MUST SPEAK SPANISH FLUENTLY
- Experience working in diverse environments including inpatient facilities, outpatient clinics, and in-home care
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with professionalism and compassion
- Strong communication skills to effectively coordinate with family members
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred for travel between client homes
- Certification in CPR/First Aid is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to obtain certification upon hire is preferred
- Flexibility in schedules
- Ability to help patients who are mobility challenged preferred
- Reliable and punctual for every scheduled shift
