Join Our Grooming Team at Family Pet Hospital!
Family Pet Hospital is excited to welcome an experienced Pet Groomer to our growing veterinary support team. We are a full-service practice providing comprehensive medical care alongside professional grooming services, and we take pride in serving pets and their families in our community.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled and motivated groomer who enjoys working independently while being part of a collaborative hospital environment.
This can be a Full or Part-Time position, with flexible scheduling options during our normal business hours.
Qualifications:
- Professional grooming experience working with a variety of dog breeds and coat types
- Knowledge of breed-specific grooming standards
- Ability to safely handle pets of varying sizes and temperaments
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Grooming certification is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform full grooming services including bathing, drying, haircuts/styling, brush-outs, nail trims, de-matting, ear cleaning, and gland expression
- Evaluate each pets coat and skin condition and communicate grooming recommendations to pet owners
- Engage with clients to understand grooming preferences and expectations
- Safely handle pets of various sizes and temperaments during grooming procedures
- Maintain a clean, organized grooming area throughout the day and at the end of each shift
Full-Time Benefits and Compensation**
- Compensation: $50% commission on grooms*

You will be paid a minimum hourly rate of $10/hr. for each hour worked. Your total compensation will be the greater of either:
- The applicable commission on grooming services performed, or
- The applicable minimum hourly rate for all hours worked.
