Position Summary
Salary: $20 to $22 per hour
The Access & Visitation Specialist is responsible for coordinating, supervising, documenting, and supporting visitation between children and their families as referred by Children and Youth Services and the Courts.
This position requires sound judgment, excellent interpersonal skills, strong documentation abilities, and the ability to remain calm and professional during emotionally challenging situations.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise parent-child visitation in community, office, and home settings.
- Ensure the safety and emotional well-being of children during visits.
- Maintain objective observations and detailed documentation.
- Prepare timely reports for Children and Youth Services and the Courts.
- Communicate regularly with Family Pathways supervisors and referring agencies.
- Maintain professional boundaries with all participants.
- Assist with scheduling and coordinating visitation services.
- Model appropriate parenting interactions when appropriate.
- Utilize de-escalation techniques during difficult situations.
- Follow agency policies regarding safety, confidentiality, and mandatory reporting.
- Maintain accurate records within required timeframes.
- Participate in supervision, staff meetings, and ongoing training.
- Travel throughout the assigned service area.
Qualifications
Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Human Services, Psychology, or related field
Experience:
- Experience working with children, families, foster care, child welfare, behavioral health, juvenile justice, or related human services preferred.
Knowledge and Skills

Requirements
- Valid Pennsylvania Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Ability to obtain:
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse Clearance
- Pennsylvania Criminal History Clearance
- FBI Fingerprint Clearance
- Ability to complete required agency training
