Working with our Building Opportunities and Outreach for Support and Treatment (BOOST) team of peer specialists and case managers, you will be responsible for providing culturally responsive case management services to adults qualifying for CalWORKS employment support. Direct service may include, but is not limited to, assisting CalWORKs clients to obtain and maintain employment that is consistent with their vocational goals toward self-sufficiency. Service may take place in the home, office, Telehealth, or other appropriate settings in the community as needed or required by clients. Working collaboratively with a team of mental health professionals to ensure the highest quality of care for our clients, your primary goal will be to help clients achieve their career goals and improve their overall well-being.This position requires demonstration of and commitment to the agency’s mission, vision, and values, including a strong commitment to creating and sustaining a culturally diverse workforce.DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:Establish collaborative relationships with CalWORKS clients toward the goal of employment in their chosen field.Conduct job development and job search activities following the Individual Placement & Support (IPS) model.Write IPS job support plans (aka: Career Profile) with clients and incorporate input from the mental health team.Attend all monthly IPS Learning Collaborative meetings. Meetings are held in-person (BOOST Program manager to share meeting location, date and time). Effectively market and represent the BOOST program and its clients in building relationships with prospective employers.Work collaboratively with the BOOST team, including regular communication and meetings regarding joint clients.Monitor and assist clients in maintaining their employment, according to the IPS guidelines.Provides advocacy and support to employers as agreed upon by clients.Work cooperatively and effectively with community agencies, service providers, and the public on behalf of the client.Travel throughout Alameda County to prospect job opportunities as needed to meet the needs of the clients.Maintain IPS caseload and meet program billing goals as determined by the BOOST Program contract.Complete all documentation requirements in a timely manner using electronic health records system.Attend mandatory team and Agency meetings and trainings.Performs other duties and assignments as required.SKILLS Required:Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of the employment market in the East Bay.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to coach and mentor.Ability to identify person-centered strengths, needs, abilities and goals.Ability to take initiative and work independently towards program goals.Experience working with people with complex needs.Good organizational and time management skills.Ability to address differences and conflicts in a proactive manner.Qualities of adaptability and reliability.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Experience in the employment services or related field, with 2 or more years of relative employment services.Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office Suite, ability to use electronic health record system.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:Associate’s Degree (AA) or Bachelor's Degree (BA).Experience with IPS Model.Special Requirements:• Must pass criminal records clearance.• Requires some driving on agency business so must have access to reliable transportation and maintain a valid driver’s license, current auto insurance and a clean DMV recordCompensation details: 61800-66609 Yearly SalaryPI64c542ab38ad-25405-39096315
