Responsibilities
- Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times
- Assist lead teachers with implementing age-appropriate curriculum and developmental activities tailored to individual needs
- Support children with daily routines such as meal times, diapering, toileting, and nap schedules
- Help children grow their faith in Jesus
- Maintain a clean, organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow mandated reporting laws to report any concerns related to child safety or well-being promptly
- Support behavior management strategies to promote positive social interactions among children
Skills
- Experience working with children in daycare, preschool, or early childhood education settings
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and child supervision techniques
- Certification in first aid, CPR, and pediatric first aid preferred; willingness to obtain if not already certified
- Be comfortable spreading the love of Jesus
- Strong classroom management skills and ability to implement child development instruction effectively
- Excellent communication skills for parent interaction and team collaboration
- Ability to handle multiple responsibilities with energy, patience, and enthusiasm
