Development Coordinator -- Full-time (40 hours/week)

Family Network’s Development Coordinator will report to the Executive Director.

This position is located in Springdale, AR.

Position Summary:

This is a professional position serving at the coordinator level of the organization and is ideal for someone who is passionate about empowering families and connecting community investments to meaningful programs that create lasting impact.

The Development Coordinator advances the mission and vision of Family Network by supporting the planning, development, and implementation of a comprehensive fundraising program. This position is responsible for coordinating donor engagement efforts, supporting fundraising initiatives, and managing communications that promote awareness and community engagement, including email marketing, social media, newsletters, and other organizational publications. The Development Coordinator supports efforts to increase monetary and in-kind donations through donor stewardship, fundraising campaigns, sponsorship opportunities, and community partnerships. This role works closely with the Executive Director, fundraising committees, volunteers, and Family Network staff to coordinate fundraising events and achieve organizational development goals.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assists in identifying and acquiring funding resources available to Family Network, including corporate sponsorships, donors, and other resource development opportunities.
  • Supports implementation of a comprehensive development program aligned with Family Network’s mission, strategic priorities and fundraising goals.
  • Coordinates fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and special events while tracking progress toward established fundraising goals.
  • Coordinates marketing and communications strategies, including social media content, email campaigns, newsletters, and other outreach materials to increase community awareness and engagement.
  • Maintains donor database records, including gift entry, donor acknowledgements, tracking donor interactions, and supporting stewardship activities.
  • Assists with donor cultivation and stewardship efforts for individual and corporate, supporters, including maintaining relationships with current and past donors.
  • Supports the planning and coordination of fundraising events, including coordinating event committees, volunteers, and community partners.
  • Represents Family Network professionally in meetings and communications with current and prospective donors, sponsors, and funding partners.
  • Collaborates with Family Network staff to stay informed of program updates, organizational priorities, and funding needs to support effective fundraising efforts.
  • Develops and maintains fundraising and organizational materials, including newsletters, annual reports, donor communications, sponsorship materials, and other publications.
  • Provides support and guidance to fundraising committees, volunteers, and development-related team members to ensure successful implementation of development activities.
  • Tracks and prepares reports on fundraising activities, donor engagement, campaign outcomes, and progress toward development goals.
  • Coordinates volunteer opportunities that support fundraising and mission awareness
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities

This position may require supervision of unpaid interns and/or volunteers.

Education and/or Experience, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field required.
  • Minimum of one (1) year of fundraising experience and/or event planning experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to write, edit, and communicate effectively with tact, diplomacy, and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and follow through on projects and responsibilities.
  • Ability to confidently represent Family Network in community settings, donor meetings, and fundraising events.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies, communication techniques, and community engagement practices.
  • Demonstrated passion for advocating for children and families.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and commitment to treating coworkers, volunteers, donors, and community members with respect and dignity.
  • Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally responsive communication practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience using donor management systems, customer relationship management (CRM) platforms, and/or fundraising software.
  • Experience creating and managing social media content, email marketing campaigns, newsletters, and other digital communications.
  • Experience coordinating fundraising events, campaigns, sponsorships, or volunteer-driven initiatives.
  • Experience developing corporate partnerships or working with community sponsors.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish skills preferred.

Working Conditions

  • Equipment Used: Regular use of computer, telephone, and standard office equipment, including applicable software and technology systems used for fundraising, communications, donor management, and administrative tasks.
  • Work Environment/Accessibility: Work is performed in an ADA-accessible office environment with accommodations available as needed.
  • Travel Requirements: Local travel is required on a frequent basis to attend community events, donor meetings, fundraising activities, partner meetings, and other organizational engagements. Mileage is reimbursed.
  • Work Hours/Schedule: Flexible schedule with variable hours, including occasional evenings and weekends, as needed to support fundraising events, community activities, and organizational priorities.
