Role Description The Physician Assistant will provide direct patient care in a family medicine setting, including conducting histories and physical exams, diagnosing and managing acute and chronic conditions, and ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests. Daily responsibilities include developing treatment plans, prescribing medications as appropriate, and providing preventive care and patient education. The role involves close collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and ensure continuity across visits. The Physician Assistant will also document encounters in the electronic medical record, respond to patient inquiries, and participate in quality improvement and practice operations as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Grand Rapids, MI.
Qualifications
- Active Physician Assistant license in the state of Michigan and current NCCPA certification.
- Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program; master’s degree preferred.
- Clinical experience in family medicine, primary care, or a related outpatient setting is highly beneficial.
- Strong diagnostic, clinical decision-making, and problem-solving abilities in a broad range of primary care conditions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working with patients of all ages and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Comfort with electronic health records and basic healthcare technologies; ability to maintain accurate, timely documentation.
