Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Medical Assistant at FAMILY MEDICAL CLINIC OF NORTH MISSISSIPPI, located in Southaven, MS. The Medical Assistant will be responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to healthcare providers, which includes assisting with patient care, phlebotomy, Xray, updating medical records, managing appointments, and maintaining efficient workflow within the medical office. Additional tasks may involve preparing examination rooms, taking patient histories, and addressing patient inquiries to ensure a smooth clinical experience.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Medical Assisting, including conducting routine clinical and administrative tasks
- Phlebotomy
- XRay
- Strong understanding of Medical Terminology to communicate and document patient information effectively
- Experience in Medical Office operations, such as scheduling appointments and handling administrative tasks
- Skills in delivering effective Patient Care, with a focus on empathy and professionalism
- Knowledge of managing and maintaining accurate Medical Records
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- Certification as a Medical Assistant or equivalent training preferred
- Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is an advantage
