Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner - Temperance
Family Medical Center of Michigan, Inc., (FMC) is a progressive, not-for-profit community health center with more than 45 years of experience serving Monroe, southwestern Wayne and southeastern Lenawee Counties of Michigan. FMC is dedicated to quality and excellence in providing accessible, comprehensive, cost-effective primary and preventative care.
FMC is seeking a full time (40 hrs/wk) Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner, no late evenings or weekends in our Temperance, Michigan (Monroe County) location. Temperance, on the MI/OH boarder, is located a short distance away from Toledo, Ohio, Ann Arbor, Michigan and Detroit, Michigan. The Lake Erie Islands are also nearby, providing access to a variety of sports, theatre/arts, historical venues and fine dining.
Our comfortable Centers provide a range of services comprehensive accessible care including primary care, behavioral health, substance use disorder, MAT, optical, dental and pharmacy services. We also provide school based behavioral health services.
Our Physician Assistants and Nurse Practitioners work closely with providers, behavioral health clinicians and clinical and administrative support staff. We use a patient-centered medical home and team based integrated care model approach using the principles of continuous quality improvement to maintain the highest quality of care.
We provide pathways to success with our comprehensive onboarding and training program for providers.
We participate in two loan repayment programs:
The National Health Service Corp and the Michigan State Loan Repayment program).
Additionally, we have an internal loan repayment program for advanced practitioners who may not qualify for the other two programs.
Qualifications:
- Current/Valid Michigan PA or NP License
- Active DEA Certification
- Current BLS/ACLS
- Bi-lingual a plus
- 1-2 years’ practice experience in an outpatient setting preferred
