Position Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team. The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, and enjoys working directly with patients in a fast-paced, family-oriented environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Room patients in a timely and professional manner
- Take and record vitals, update medical charts, and prepare patients for exams
- Complete daily lab duties (spinning, labeling, sending out specimens)
- Assist with x-rays, injections, and procedures as needed
- Manage medication refills and prior authorizations (PAs)
- Maintain clean, organized exam rooms and lab areas
- Check voicemails and phone messages at designated times
- Support office operations (faxing, scanning, and chart accuracy)
- Uphold HIPAA and infection control standards at all times
Qualifications:
- Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, RMA, or equivalent)
- Previous clinical experience in family practice or urgent care a plus
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional demeanor
