Participant Advocate – Enrollment & Eligibility Representative
Make a Difference Behind the Scenes—and Directly in the Lives of the People We Serve.
Are you a detail-oriented problem solver who enjoys helping people, balancing numbers, and making sure things get done right? Do you thrive in a role where accuracy, communication, and follow-through matter?
We’re looking for a Participant Advocate – Enrollment & Eligibility Representative to join our team and play a critical role in ensuring participants and their dependents receive the benefits and support they’re entitled to.
You’ll combine analytical thinking, technical skills, and exceptional customer service to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the people we serve. More than processing information, you’ll be a trusted resource for participants, employers, local unions, vendors, and internal teams—turning complicated questions into clear answers and effective solutions.

- Process, enter, and balance employer payroll reports and member contributions in the V3 system.
- Develop and maintain a strong working knowledge of V3 and related eligibility and contribution processes.
- Process employer audit reports and reconcile single-employer accounts.
- Process electronic files from vendors, troubleshoot import errors, and resolve exceptions.
- Process incoming reciprocity transactions and investigate employer discrepancies while consistently applying established policies.
- Verify and update member job classifications, home locals, and employer information.
- Manage participant contributions, including short payments, buy-up payments, retiree self-payments, and COBRA payments, along with related adjustments and refunds.
- Review construction employer participation agreements to verify member eligibility.
Participant Support & Benefit Administration
- Process participant enrollment forms and review supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness.
- Respond promptly and professionally to participant questions by phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Verify benefit eligibility and provide accurate self-payment amounts and other account information.
- Set up and maintain retiree accounts, including collecting required documentation such as Medicare cards.
- Set up and maintain COBRA applications and related accounts.
- Process life insurance claims and ensure related information is handled accurately and efficiently.
Employer, Union & Vendor Collaboration
- Serve as a key point of contact for local unions through phone, email, and written correspondence.
- Collaborate with employers, vendors, and internal departments to investigate discrepancies, gather information, troubleshoot issues, and develop effective solutions.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with internal and external partners to resolve questions and keep processes moving forward.
Teamwork & Continuous Improvement
- Maintain accurate records and follow established policies, procedures, and processing requirements.
- Identify and resolve issues while balancing accuracy, efficiency, and participant service.
- Contribute to team goals, assist with special projects, and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
