Established Columbia Family Law firm seeks Senior Associate with 2-7 years family law, immigration, education, LGBTQ, adoption, guardianship or other related advocacy experience practicing primarily in Montgomery, Prince George's, Howard, Baltimore regions with an ability to manage cases independently to join our team‑oriented practice. This position is structured as a hybrid role, offering a balance of in‑office collaboration and remote work flexibility. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage independently a family law or related caseload
- Prepare pleadings, motions, discovery, and other legal documents with a high level of accuracy
- Represent clients in hearings, mediations, and negotiations
- Maintain consistent, professional communication with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
- Participate in team strategy discussions and contribute to a collaborative work environment
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
- Active bar membership in good standing
- Minimum of 2 years of focused family law experience
- Strong litigation, negotiation, and written communication skills
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Commitment to professionalism, confidentiality, and client‑centered service
