Prominent Washington, DC Based Divorce & Family Law Firm seeks Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience in family law to join our growing team.

We are a modern family law firm handling sophisticated divorce, custody, and support matters throughout DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Responsibilities:

• Handle contested divorce and custody matters
• Draft pleadings, motions, correspondence, and settlement agreements
• Prepare and respond to discovery
• Conduct legal research and develop case strategy
• Represent clients at hearings, mediations, and ADR proceedings
• Assist with trial preparation, witness preparation, and trial notebooks
• Conduct and defend depositions
• Manage deadlines and maintain organized case workflow
• Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and court personnel
• Trial Preparation

Qualifications

• J.D. from an accredited law school
• Active Maryland Bar license required
• DC and/or Virginia Bar admission preferred
• Minimum 2 years of family law litigation experience
• Courtroom experience strongly preferred
• Strong writing, analytical, and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and efficiently
• Professional judgment and attention to detail
• Comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
