What are the responsibilities and job description for the Pharmacy Technician/PSR position at Family Health Centers Inc?
- Assist in safely preparing and dispensing medications as prescribed in writing by providers.
- Assist is maintaining adequate pharmaceutical inventory and supplies.
- Provide patient education on the appropriate way the medication is to be taken or used.
- Respond appropriately to patient requests, inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
- Prepare prescription labels, patient records, insurance documentations, and patient verification.
- Maintain the prescribed system of accountability for controlled substances, syringes and other pharmaceutical supplies.
- Collect appropriate fees and enter charges for authorized patient insurance billing for medication.
- Assist in annual Pharmacy inventory audit.
- Exhibit compliance with FHC?s corporate compliance policy.
- Perform job activities in ways that are respectful, courteous, and responsive while interacting with patients, visitors and co-workers.
- Operate a multi-line phone system, receiving incoming calls to FHC, providing assistance to callers and screening calls for proper forwarding.
- Perform other duties and assume other responsibilities as apparent or as delegated to you.
