This is a fulltime onsite position for the Family Health Center of Worcester. Worcester Health Care for the Homeless located at 199 Chandler Street, Worcester.
Position Summary: The Behavioral Health Clinician provides comprehensive, culturally responsive behavioral health services within an integrated health care for the homeless practice. This role includes conducting assessments, delivering evidence-based interventions, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, supporting crisis intervention efforts, and ensuring timely documentation and compliance with agency standards. Program Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Direct clinical work with individuals is required.
- Conduct culturally sensitive, strength-based biopsychosocial assessments and deliver continued and/or short-term therapeutic care as appropriate.
- Create a welcoming and understanding environment for diverse backgrounds, utilizing interpretation services when indicated.
- Utilize evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), behavioral interventions, Solution-Focused Brief Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
- Offer therapeutic modalities that support wellness, improved quality of life and behavior change such as behavioral and cognitive behavioral modalities, solution-focused brief therapy, motivational interviewing, etc.
- Develop and facilitate group therapy sessions.
- Offer patient education, ongoing guidance, and follow-up support through both in-person and telephone contact.
- Deliver crisis intervention services, including psychiatric emergency consultation, comprehensive risk assessments, and development of safety plans to support client stability.
- Provide ongoing therapeutic support, patient education, and follow-up care (in person and by phone) to promote wellness, improved quality of life, and behavior change.
- Assist in staff and provider training in integrated behavioral health-primary care model.
- Collaborate closely with primary care providers and interdisciplinary team members in an integrated care setting, offering real-time consultation and contributing to treatment planning, implementation, and monitoring.
- Participate in behavioral health quality improvement activities.
- Participate in group supervision and seek peer consultation as needed.
- Close all charts within forty-eight (48) hours of visit - ability to do concurrent/concordant charting/typing, including assessments, progress notes, and billing.
- Continually evaluates service and maintains a productivity level that adequately meets the goals of the department and ensures access to the clients seeking services.
- Keeps abreast of all insurance requirements and submits paperwork accordingly.

One of the following combinations of education and employment experience must be met to be considered for the position:
- Professional Independent Licensure required: LICSW
A minimum of two years of post-graduate clinical experience required.
Experience working with individuals with substance use disorders and homelessness is strongly preferred.
Salary : $90,000 - $127,000
