Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Program Associate, Bilingual Cantonese, Mandarin, Russian and/or Spanish - Shore Senior Center.

In this role, the successful candidate The Program Associate supports the daily operations of the Shore Hill Older Adult Center, which provides meals, educational, recreational, and social activities to promote the health, well-being, and social connection of older adults. This role plays a key part in ensuring smooth Center operations by providing administrative support, supporting the coordination of programs and activities, and engaging participants, helping to create a welcoming and supportive community environment.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Assist older adults with sign-in procedures, calendars, and navigating the Center.

  • Input program participant attendance and service data into the NYC Agings client tracking system and maintain accurate sign-in sheets and related documentation to comply with NYC Aging standards.

  • Process invoices andassistwith budget tracking and expense management.

  • Manage daily contributions, includingaccuratecounting and recording of contributions.

  • Order andmaintainofficeand recreationalsupplies.

  • Manage staff timekeeping.

  • Assist with the preparation of reports and other documents.

  • Help plan,coordinateand support activities and events for older adults.

  • Assist the Program Supervisor with setting up rooms for events and cleaning up after activities.

  • Assistin creating calendarsofactivities and events.

  • Assist with meal service coordination, including ensuring thatmeal sign-ins are accurate.

  • Coordinate the food pantry, ensuring proper organization and distribution.

  • Conduct outreach toolder adults and the broadercommunityto promote the Centers programs and services.

  • Engage older adultsin activities and events to encourage participation and social interaction.

  • Report any participant health or safety concerns immediately to the Program Supervisor.

  • Perform otherduties asassigned bythe Supervisor to support the Centers operations.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • To qualify you must have a Associate's Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 1 Year of related experience in an office setting or the equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic data management software.
  • Commitment to working with older adults and providing high quality programs and services.
  • Strong organizational, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Bilingual Fluency in additional languages: Russian, Chinese, Spanish.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree
  • Experience working with older adults in a community setting

NYU Langone Health provides a salary range to comply with the New York state Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $42,783.14 - $68,041.43 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.
