Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse with OBGYN background to join our healthcare team. This role involves providing high-quality nursing care to patients across various settings, including hospitals, clinics, and long-term care facilities. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for assessing patient needs, developing care plans, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed, ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
- Perform nursing procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, suturing, and wound care.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs and report any changes in condition to the healthcare team.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and treatment options.
- Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and adhere to NCQA standards.
- Provide specialized care in areas such as critical care, pediatrics, geriatrics, hospice & palliative medicine, or emergency medicine as needed.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in acute care settings; prior hospital experience is preferred.
- Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Cerner is advantageous.
- Knowledge of medical terminology, ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), and basic life support (BLS) certification.
- Strong assessment skills with the ability to perform diagnostic evaluations and physical examinations.
- Experience with specialized treatments including botulinum toxin treatment, dialysis, or pain management is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
- Background in long-term care, assisted living, or home health is beneficial.
- Understanding of infection control practices and aseptic techniques.
