Responsibilities
- Support classroom teachers by preparing materials, setting up learning activities, and assisting with daily instructional tasks
- Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and positive behavior
- Manage classroom behavior through effective behavior management strategies aligned with educational policies and regulations
- Communicate regularly with teachers and parents to update on student progress and behavioral observations
- Maintain a safe, organized classroom environment that complies with all educational standards and regulations such as the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA)

Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational settings, childcare, tutoring, or mentoring roles is highly preferred
- Demonstrated classroom experience in early childhood or elementary education environments
- Familiarity with special education practices, including working with individuals with disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management techniques
- Experience collaborating with teachers and supporting diverse learning needs is advantageous
- Certification in first aid and CPR is required
- Strong communication skills, patience, adaptability, and a passion for fostering positive student growth
