What are the responsibilities and job description for the RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) position at Family First?
Job Summary
Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), Behavior Technicians implement in-home and telehealth (during COVID-19 pandemic) based programs for Family First clients and families using applied behavior analysis (ABA). Behavior technicians receive 40 hour RBT training, as well as from a BCBA. Behavior technicians implement a variety of teaching methods and behavior reduction techniques in order to help individuals and families succeed.

The Behavior Technician position is part-time, with potential to increase hours over time. Candidates with experience working with children are preferred. Candidates must be professional, but willing and able to sit down and play with children.
Day to day duties include:
- Teaching communication and play skills
- Instruction of daily living skills
- Behavior management
- Data collection
Requirements/Qualifications
- Must be 18 years or older
- Must be willing to complete Registered Behavior Technician training and maintain certification
- Must Pass DOJ/FBI background check
- Proficient use of technology including tablet and laptop, and programs such as Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.
- Reliable vehicle, a driver’s license and car insurance.
- Experience working with children with special needs is preferred
Compensation
- Will be based on experience
- Introductory pay ranges from $17-20 per hour, and increases to $20-25 per hour once certified as a Registered Behavior Technician
