What are the responsibilities and job description for the Nurse Practitioner position at Family First Medicine?
What We’re Looking For:
- Active Alabama CRNP approval and current certification
- Current RN license in good standing
- Appropriate collaborative practice eligibility/arrangements in Alabama
- Primary care experience preferred
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Ability to evaluate, diagnose, and manage acute and chronic conditions within scope of practice
- Ability to order and interpret appropriate laboratory and diagnostic testing
- Excellent documentation and medical record skills
- Strong communication and patient-care skills
- Dependable, professional, and team-oriented
- Willingness to follow Family First Medicine clinical protocols, policies, and procedures
- Ability to work independently while knowing when physician consultation is appropriate
RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
- Providing comprehensive primary care to patients
- Evaluating and managing acute and chronic medical conditions
- Reviewing laboratory and diagnostic results
- Prescribing and managing medications within scope and protocol
- Providing patient education and preventative care
- Maintaining accurate and timely medical documentation
- Communicating effectively with patients, staff, and collaborating providers
- Following established diagnostic, treatment, documentation, and safety protocols
