Home Time

Drivers are typically out for about 2 weeks at a time, with home time discussed clearly before dispatch. Exact home time may vary depending on loads, location, and scheduling needs.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle
• Pick up and deliver freight on assigned OTR routes
• Maintain accurate electronic logs and delivery documentation
• Communicate with dispatch about load status, delays, and delivery updates
• Keep equipment clean and report maintenance concerns when needed
• Complete thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections
• Secure loads and verify counts before leaving the shipper

Requirements

• Current and valid CDL-A (Class A Commercial Driver's License)
• At least 21 years of age, as required for interstate operation under federal rules
• Current DOT medical examiner's certificate
• Ability to pass required drug screening and background/MVR checks
• Strong communication and time-management skills
• Comfortable operating late-model automatic and manual equipment
• Legally authorized to work in the United States
