We currently have a Master's level clinical position available for Family Mental Health Counselors in the Pinellas Child Welfare Diversion Program covering the St Petersburg area. The office for this position is in Largo.

Experienced Masters level clinician needed to provide home based counseling services to children and their families. The Family Counselor will complete in-depth family assessments, provide crisis intervention and therapeutic services to at risk families. Identified risk factors may be related to child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, domestic violence and mental illness. Services are provided in the family home. We offer health benefits and generous paid time off. This is not a telehealth position.

Job Requirements:

  • Therapists must have a minimum of a Master's Degree in counseling, social work or related field. Working towards your Florida License (LMHC, LMFT or LCSW) is required, must be registered as intern or verified license eligible. Clinical supervision for licensure is provided.
  • At least two (2) years of experience working with the at-risk population to include families experiencing substance abuse matters, domestic violence, mental health, and emotionally disturbed. Certified Addiction Professional (CAP) preferred.
  • All clinicians must be comfortable utilizing technology for documentation.
  • This position is paperwork intensive with strict timelines. Excellent writing and strong organizational skills are necessary.

Must have a high level of energy, be adaptable to irregular hours, be flexible, and be able to travel throughout Pinellas County.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $57,000.00 per year
