Duties
- Assist with puppy socialization sessions, ensuring safe interactions between puppies and handlers
- Support trainers in implementing basic obedience commands and behavioral exercises
- Handle puppies safely to promote comfort and safety
- Maintain cleanliness of training areas, kennels, and outdoor play zones to uphold hygiene standards
- Monitor puppy behavior closely, identifying signs of stress or discomfort and reporting concerns promptly
- Support pet care routines including feeding, grooming, and gentle handling during training activities
- Engage with pet owners by providing updates on puppy progress and offering basic pet care advice
Experience
- Previous kennel tech experience or background working with animals in a professional setting preferred
- Hands-on dog handling skills with an understanding of animal behavior and welfare principles
- Experience in veterinary technician or assistant roles is highly desirable
- Daycare work experience beneficial for supervising puppies during play and training sessions
- Strong customer service skills to communicate effectively with pet owners and team members
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks including heavy lifting of supplies or equipment as needed
